Welcome to Walton Primary School PTA

The Walton Primary School Parent Teacher Association (PTA) brings together parents, carers and school staff to support our school and help make our children’s time at Walton as enjoyable and enriching as possible.

Together, we:

Raise funds to support the school and our children.
Organise fun and memorable events and activities.
Help provide additional resources, experiences and opportunities.
Support projects that enhance learning and play.
Bring families together and strengthen our school community.

Every parent and carer is welcome to get involved. Whether you have lots of time, an occasional hour to spare, a great idea or simply want to support our events, every contribution makes a difference. 2026 text to update

Why Get Involved?

Being part of the PTA is a great way to become more involved in school life, meet other parents and carers, share your ideas and skills and help make a positive difference for our children.

And getting involved doesn't have to mean a big commitment.

You might join the committee, help at an event, bake a cake, source a raffle prize, share a fundraising idea or simply come along and support an activity. You can help regularly, once a term, once a year or whenever you have some spare time.

However you choose to get involved, we'd love to have you!

Committee roles are reviewed and appointed at our Annual General Meeting (AGM) which will usually be held at the start of the academic year in September/October.

What Your PTA Support Makes Possible

Thanks to the fantastic support of our families, staff and wider community, during 2025/26 the PTA raised £3,258.74 and invested £6,292.58 in projects, resources and experiences for the school.

PTA funding helped support:

Pond development – restoring the school pond and creating an outdoor space for children to explore nature and wildlife.
Forest School and outdoor learning – including a fire pit, cover, toasting forks and trolley.
Trim Trail repairs – helping keep this popular outdoor area available for children.
A new reading chair – creating a welcoming space for reading.
A Willow Workshop – providing a creative, hands-on learning experience.
Coach trips for every class – helping reduce transport costs for educational visits.
Christmas parties – helping every class enjoy a special celebration.
Ice creams for Sports Day and Year 6 leavers.

Together, we make a difference!

Looking Ahead

We want to continue working closely with the school to identify where PTA funding can make the greatest difference, including further outdoor development and new classroom resources.

We also welcome support from parents, carers, local businesses and members of our wider community who may be able to offer resources, materials, equipment, expertise, advice or services. PTA Newsletter September 2026

Help Us Fundraise

School Lottery

Our School Lottery is an easy way to support Walton CEVC Primary School throughout the year, with the chance to win too.

Tickets cost £1 per week, with proceeds helping raise money for the school. One of our players wins a cash prize every week, with the possibility of winning the £25,000 jackpot.

Easyfundraising

You can also raise money for the PTA without it costing you anything extra when shopping online.

The PTA is registered with easyfundraising, where participating retailers make a donation when supporters shop through the service.

Stay Connected

There are parent/carer WhatsApp groups for each class or year group. These groups are independently run by parents and are a useful way to connect with other families, share reminders and keep up with school and PTA activities.

If you're not yet connected to your group, speak to a PTA member and we'll help point you in the right direction.

You can also join the Walton School Parents Facebook group, where families can connect and we share PTA event information and reminders.
