At Walton C of E Primary School, we are very proud of the work we do with children of all backgrounds and needs. We recognise the importance of supporting pupils who may currently be a Child Looked After or Post Looked After. Our staff have up to date training and recent experience of working well with Looked After Children.

The Designated Lead for Children Looked After is: Mrs Cooper.

Pastoral support for pupils is provided by our School Elsa's: Mrs Tina Brine and Mrs Harriet Chinnock.

All staff have training which includes how to support children who are looked after, Special Guardianship or Adopted. This training includes a broad understanding of attachment, building trust and providing a safe and secure environment for a successful school experience.

We work very closely with parents, foster parents, carers and professionals to ensure that children's personal needs are met. If your child is looked after, under a Special Guardianship or Adopted, please do speak to staff about this.
